A little bit of yellow...

After making my scene ATC earlier I carried on while the inks were out and made a swap for a friend over at Docrafts, she'd had a good look in my gallery over there and picked out 2 she really liked so I've tried to make them similar. I shall enter this into the very first challenge over at Let's Ink it Up, anything goes with a little yellow.

I coloured the flowers then clear embossed them so I could ink all around then I cut a circle out of a post-it note to colour through for the sun and then used the punch out to cover it up while I inked the sky and hills. The bird is from a gorgeous set by Katzelkraft.

So very last minute...

Hi, I saw the theme over at Tuesday Taggers this week and was keen to have a go, it's Sea, Water or Boats. Well with only 2 hours left on the challenge I have made an ATC this evening and just taken a photo. I really prefer taking photo's in natural light but it's turned out better than I thought it would. Anyway, here it is...

I have used a few of my many Stampscape stamps and I'd forgotten how much fun it is to build up a picture. I have used my usual Impress inks and sponges for the background. Thanks for looking.

Zentangle

I haven't had a doodle for a while but the challenge over at Lots to Do is Zentangle so I thought I'd have a go, just in time too as the challenge closes later on today. I like to doodle over backgrounds I have made up and this one was a shaving foam one I did ages ago.

I think the little creature at the bottom looks like a scared eel, is that a wide-eyed frog off to the side or a shark about to eat him up?

Thanks for looking.

I love blog hopping to my friend Annette's blog Netty's Craftings, she has such gorgeous creations and is such an inspiration to many. Whilst there I see she is to be on the design team for the new challenge blog Let's Ink It Up. The first challenge will start on 22nd August and they are offering some lovely blog candy as they get more and more followers.....this is on offer at the moment...

You can find these gorgeous stamps and more over at Anna Belle Stamps

Now if they can reach 300 followers they are offering 4 gorgeous sets of stamps and these are from KLM Digital Designs and Stamps

Can't wait for the new challenges to start :)

Colour challenge

Hi, I am just starting to follow colour challenges and I must admit I like them. This one I made for the Play Date Cafe Challenge of Brown, green and beige. I stamped a few of the flowers in black too, I hope that was ok.

The colours in this ATC remind me of the autumn colours that are just around the corner. We haven't had a very good summer, I think our summer has moved to 2 weeks in spring! I do love autumn though and winter too.

Adorable ATC

Hi, here is a really cute and adorable kitten in a basket of flowers I made. I am going to enter it into Speedy the cats challenge which is Think Flowers this week. I'll also enter it into the cats challenge over at Drunken Stampers

I used the Stampin Up Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the cat sitting nicely in the basket then stamped and masked the flowers all around her. I stamped a few extra and popped them up. The flower stamp in the background is a lovely real flower from Hero Arts called wild delphinium.

Recipe challenge

I made this for a swap to take with me to the Loughborough Docrafts meet on Saturday and I followed the recipe challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers which is to use yellow or orange; punches or stickers; and an animal or a fish. I think my goldfish looks rather grumpy, maybe it's because he can't fit in his house! lol

The background is made using the shaving foam technique and I've used a little punch to punch the fishes in the background from acrylic painted watercolour paper. The grasses are from a wonderful little Stampin Up set of stamps.
